Unearthed Pendant No.2

I made just four “Unearthed” pendants in total, and one hangs around my neck in celebration of my first micro collection in silver. They’re all completely unique, and each inspired by ring from the Medieval crusades. The simplicity of these age-old, hand-engraved designs, often crosses, stars and crescent moons, are technically military symbolism – but I can’t help but find them very beautiful.

The front of the pendant features a textured design formed originally in wax, and later cast in sterling silver. The reverse is plain. The circular bail has been soldered to the piece, and attached to a hand-dyed, hand-rolled silk cord with a separate jump ring.
