Crafting Your Own Silver Pendant

Craft your own silver pendant through the tactile, playful art of wax modelling. Inspired by the shapes and textures of the natural world and whispers of ancient folklore, this workshop invites you to slow down, explore, and reconnect with your creative intuition.

Together, we’ll craft a wax pendant model that will later be realised in silver through the ancient lost-wax casting technique. Once cast, your piece will be polished, finished, and beautifully packaged — a unique keepsake to cherish for years to come.

What to Expect

  • A tailor-made workshop designed around a seasonal theme of your choosing. Past workshops themes include Samhain, Imbolc, Women’s Day and Celestial Bodies.

  • I’ll arrive at your home with all the tools, materials, and visual inspiration we need for the session.

  • With patient, personal guidance, you’ll shape your wax into a pendant that reflects your ideas and vision.

  • You’ll explore texture and form, imprinting natural shapes, fingerprints, or stones into the wax to create a truly one-of-a-kind design.

  • Your wax design will then be professionally cast in silver, polished, and finished in Stephanie’s studio.

  • Lastly, your finished silver pendant will be beautifully packaged, sent to you by post, or available for collection.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • These private workshops take place in the comfort of you own home. I bring the materials and tools we’ll need to you, so long as your within Berlin or nearby.

  • All you really need is a sturdy table and a comfortable space to work. A kitchen or dining table usually works perfectly. I’ll bring along cutting mats and some lighting ensure your surfaces are well protected and our workspace is well-lit.

  • Not at all. The workshop is designed for beginners and anyone curious about jewellery making. We’ll discuss your ideas beforehand, and I’ll guide you every step of the way, so you can focus on enjoying the creative process.

  • Your wax design is professionally cast, polished, and finished in my studio. This process can take up to 2-3 weeks. Once ready, it will be either delivered to you by post, or available for collection.

  • Because we’ll be using sharp tools, and open flame, this workshop is only suitable for adults.

  • You can book a private session just for yourself, or invite friends for a small, intimate group. To ensure everyone receives my full attention, sessions are limited to a maximum of five participants, with individual guidance throughout.

Samhain Pendant Workshop

Folklore-inspired artist and silversmith Stephanie invites you to celebrate Samhain with a jewellery workshop. The first day of the old Celtic year, Samhain, pronounced sau-wen (ˈsaʊ.wən), marks the boundary between Summer and Winter, a dark and introspective time of the year traditionally associated with reflection, renewal and remembrance.
