Quatrefoil Earrings

The quatrefoil is an ancient symbol of good luck. The word is derived from the Latin "quattuor" meaning four, and "folium" meaning leaf. I made each of my quatrefoil earrings individually. Each wax shape was carefully formed and textured with my handmade tools before being cast in sterling silver.

Process: Each earring is individually hand modelled from wax, so each one slightly different, and perfectly unique. Imprinted with stones collected on my many beach walks, they have a beautiful stoney texture on both sides. You can read all about the lost wax casting technique I use here.

Material: The Triskelion pendant has been cast in 935 silver — a high-purity silver that offers durability, and a soft brightness that grows more beautiful with time.
